2016 Joint Memorial Day Service, May 29th

The Laurel Volunteer Fire Department members cordially invite the public to attend the 41st Annual Memorial Day Service this Sunday, May 29, 2016, starting at 11:00am.

The service will be held at the Historic Ivy Hill Cemetery located on Sandy Spring Road in Laurel. In the event of inclement weather, the service will take place at the Laurel Volunteer Fire Department.

This program was started by the Department and Auxiliary in 1975; and since that time, members of the Laurel Police Department, Laurel Rescue Squad and the American Legion Post #60 have participated.

Each year, the organizations gather to remember deceased members of their respective organization and to place a wreath at each organization’s Memorial stone.

A luncheon will be served by the Fire Department’s Auxiliary in the lower level of the fire station located at 7411 Cherry Lane in Laurel, MD.

For more information, please call the Laurel Volunteer Fire Department at 301-776-3600 or email msellner@laurelvfd.org.
