Engine, Ambulance and Chief on I-95 Crash

Just after 7pm on October 6, 2014, Engine 104 and Ambulance 108 along with Squad 49, and units from Howard County were dispatched to I-95 near Sandy Spring Rd (Rt. 198) for a vehicle into the woods.   Squad 49 arrived first to find a single vehicle well off the roadway into the trees.  The car, occupied by two adults and two children, had skidded off the highway down an embankment and into a tree.  Ambulance 108 assisted by a crew member from Squad 49 quickly transported a critically injured child to the hospital while the crew from Engine 104 assisted with other patients.  Additional transport units were dispatched to provide aid and transport.  Maryland State Police shutdown southbound I-95 for accident reconstruction.
