Townhouse Fire- 11736 Tuscany Drive

The call originally came out as a street alarm for smoke in the house. Engine 104 responded with 5 volunteers. Ambulance 109 responded with 2 volunteers, Deputy Chief Kelso and Assistant Chief Hull.  While units were enroute, supplemental information was provided and Chief 10A requested communications fill the box assignment.  Upon arrival, they discovered a 3 story, middle of the row townhouse with a chimney fire in the basement level, extending to the top floor with fire on the roof showing.  Deputy Chief Kelso was the Incident Commander and Assistant Chief Hull had the interior.  Fire Investigations was on the scene and indicates the cause as a chimney fire.  The fire loss was placed at approximately $5,000 total for the structure and contents.  Other Units onscene were from Berwyn Heights, Greenbelt , Beltsville, and Calverton, Howard County 6 (Savage) and Anne Arundel Station 27 (Maryland City).
