Laurel Volunteer Fire Department to Hold Joint Memorial Day Service

The public is cordially invited to attend the 43rd Annual Memorial Day Service on Sunday, May 27, 2018, at Historic Ivy Hill Cemetery located on Sandy Spring Road in Laurel.
The Joint Memorial Day Service, with Laurel Volunteer Rescue Squad, American Legion Post 60 and Laurel Police Department, will start promptly at 11:00am, so it is requested, if you plan on attending, please get there early.

This is the 43rd Anniversary of the City's Memorial Day Service program, which began in 1975 by the membership of the Laurel Volunteer Fire Department and Auxiliary. Since that time, members of the Laurel Police Department, Laurel Rescue Squad and American Legion Post 60, have participated.

Along with Mayor Craig A. Moe and the Laurel City Council, we will gather to remember deceased members of our organizations and place a Memorial Wreath at each organization’s Memorial stone.

In the event of inclement weather, the Service will take place at the Laurel Volunteer Fire Department, located at 7411 Cherry Lane, and will be followed by a luncheon, prepared and served by the Laurel Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary in the lower level meeting room. Parking will be available at the Van Dusen Road entrance.
