Winter Weather Advisory from Midnight to 9am, December 17, 2016

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for our area, starting at Midnight and ending around 9am on Saturday.

This means that periods of snow, sleet and freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibility.

The wintry weather is expected to take over our area starting around midnight as snow and sleet. It will change to freezing rain in the early hours causing hazardous driving conditions.

Winds will be out of the south 10 - 15 mph, with some gusts as high as 20 mph. Temps will drop to the teens and start rising on Saturday morning, changing over to all rain.

Limit your travel this evening if possible and wait for the weather to warm up enough to change it to rain. Otherwise, please be sure to drive with extreme caution.

Stay safe and warm!Winter Weather Advisory
