Laurel Volunteer Fire Department’s Open House 2016

Chief Duane Hull, President Vic Whipple, members of the Fire Prevention Committee and the Laurel Volunteer Fire Department membership would like to invite the public to their Annual Fire Prevention Week Open House on Sunday, October 23, 2016. This year’s theme for Fire Prevention Month is “Don’t Wait - Check the Date!” The official theme from NFPA is every ten years, but if you do not have a 10 year smoke alarm, test it regularly and replace it with a 10 year when the old one is ready to be retired.

The Open House will run from 1:00 to 4:00pm and is free and open to the public. Our station is located at 7411 Cherry Lane. We welcome residents of Laurel and surrounding communities to attend and bring their families and friends. We will have safety demonstrations, kid’s activities, and view apparatus and equipment.

Parking is free in the station’s parking lot. For more information, please contact the Laurel Volunteer Fire Department at 301-776-3600 or visit our website at
