Win your own Crab Feast !

The LVFD auxiliary is holding a raffle to win your own crab feast. The feast includes a bushel of the famous blue crabs from our friends at Emmerts Seafood with all the fixins and a 20 qt Yeti cooler. Tickets are $5 a piece and $20 for five.

LVFD Community Outreach

Volunteer EMT's Lewis and Rojas recently talked with Cub Pack 602 about being prepared and comfortable with both first aid and emergency preparedness/actions. This interactive session helped scouts prepare for their Emergency Preparedness badge supporting the Scout Law "A Scout is Helpful".

Giving from the heart

Recently, a father and 2 young ladies stopped by the LVFD and asked if we were accepting donations for Toys-for-Tots. Volunteer firefighters on duty confirmed that we do indeed accept donations. The proud father asked his daughters to tell us the story behind their donation.

Breakfast Surprise !

The Laurel High School cheer-leading squad showed up early on Saturday to prepare a hearty breakfast for the LVFD. Members enjoyed the food and greatly appreciate the squad's outreach to their volunteer fire department. We wish them luck in their upcoming competitions.

Old Liz comes home !

Our 1928 American LaFrance pumper, Old Liz, is back home after extensive repairs and updates. She is on display at our station and will be seen at Main Street and 4th of July celebrations.

LVFD Open House

LVFD's Community Preparedness committee hosts our annual fire prevention open house on Oct 7 2018, from 1 to 4 pm at the fire station. Lots of events and activities are planned for the community. Come on out and Look, Listen, Learn !

LVFD Members Asking Community to Fill Front Lawn with American Flags this Independence Day

The members of the Laurel Volunteer Fire Department are asking the Laurel community to place a flag on the front lawn of our Fire Station in honor of our Nation's Birthday and in remembrance of our fallen heroes in both the military service and in our public safety community.

Life Members Dinner

LVFD Life members (25+ years of service) celebrated their service for others this past weekend with dinner and short program. The evening included the LVFD auxilary's life member group.
