The Laurel Volunteer Fire Department took delivery of a 2015 Seagrave Apollo II ladder tower. The tower replaces the previous Tower 10, a 1995 Simon-Duplex LTI tower. Vendor training is taking place Jan 17th through the 19th. The new Tower 10 will return to the shop to complete equipment mounting and then will return to the LVFD to be placed in service.

May 19, 2015. From 0200hrs on May 18th through 0200hrs May 19th, between the engine, truck and ambulance, LVFD responded to 20 calls for service with the busiest time being when storms hit the Laurel Area. At least two buildings were struck by lightning leading to working fires.
April 19, 2015. Life Members, their spouses and family members, were honored at the annual Life Members Dinner at the firehouse on Saturday evening. LVFD president and life member Vic Whipple along with past president, life member and City of Laurel Mayor Craig Moe led the festivities. Dinner was served by the Laurel Auxiliary and many stories from years past were shared.

2/6/15. A working house fire on Clays Lane off of 8th Street on Friday evening marked the fourth working fire this week and the third for the day. Engine 104 and the chief (Hull) operated on Clays Lane for approximately two hours working to extinguish a fire in the walls and attic of a 2-story single family home.
