On Sunday March 12th at 18:21 hours Engine 101 with 7 volunteers, Chief 10A (Grant), and Chief 10B (Brown) were alerted to 15400 block of Arbory Way for the house fire. Chief 10A arrived on scene with a two story middle of the row townhome with smoke showing and assumed the Arbory Way command.
On March 9th around 1530 hours Engine 103 and Chief 10A (Grant) were struck out for the reported house fire in the area of Beall Place and Marton Street. Engine 103 arrived on scene to find a shed well off in the rear of 1121 Beall Place with some exposure to the neighboring deck. Chief 10A arrived shortly after and assumed command.
On February 12th around 16:00 hours the Tower with 5 volunteers and Chief 10B (Brown) were alerted for the apartment fire in box area 49-01. Units went on scene with nothing evident but once inside found a bedroom off on the second floor. The crew from Tower 10 split into two and went to work throwing ladders and assisting 49 with opening up.

Also of note, after serving 40 years in various LVFD officer roles, Life member Joe Robison stepped aside from a direct leadership role, most recently as Trustee.

Members of the LVFD attended the 2016 Fallen Firefighter and Founders Circle roll call ceremony at the FSB in Landover. Francis G. Gray, LVFD member killed while serving his Nation during the Vietnam War, was inducted into the Founders Circle this year. The LVFD Honor Guard presented the colors and assisted with the presentations at each memorial stone.
